Although RescueNet operates on an entirely voluntary basis there are many non-personal costs involved in running a disaster relief agency, including medical supplies, communications equipment, safety gear, water filters and the means to transport them all. In the background we require IT equipment and services to ensure we are ready to deploy at a moment’s notice with all of the necessary up-to-date information. It is also an essential aspect of our involvement with the disaster relief community for key staff to attend international meetings in order to maintain high standards and cooperation with other agencies.
